CRAIG'S 100 QUOTES - THE TOP 10
There's been plenty of emotional, hilarious and defiant quotes on this list that have really strengthened my greater love for film as time goes by (to quote one of my contenders). Now I can reveal my top 10 film quotes of all time, with some excellent choices which I hope you will all agree with, here we go....
#10. SOME LIKE IT HOT
One of 3 classic last-liners which make this consistent top 10, the hilarious end quote of Billy Wilder's rom-com classic SOME LIKE IT HOT sees musician turned undercover lady Jerry (Jack Lemmon) trying to explain to his secret admirer, elderly millionaire Osgood Fielding III, why he can't marry him. From being a smoker to already being married, Jerry fails to get through to Osgood before reluctantly whipping off his wig to reveal he's a man, to which Osgood echoes that line....
#9. LORD OF THE RINGS: THE TWO TOWERS
The gangly creature Gollum (Andy Serkis) is clearly disturbed by his obsession with the one ring carried by hobbits Frodo and Sam. His famous quote which carries on throughout the Lord of the Rings trilogy sees him refer to the ring as....

#8. CASABLANCA - 1942
One of the all time classic endings in which despite many of us being disappointed that Rick Blaine (Humphrey Bogart) didn't get on that plane, there is some renewed hope for him and his double crossing pal Louis (Claude Rains) as the pair decide to head off on the run from Casablanca. As they walk across the airport, Rick says....
#7. GONE WITH THE WIND - 1939
Like CASABLANCA, this romantic classic features one of the most memorable lines in its conclusion, where southern belle Scarlett O'Hara (Vivien Leigh) tries to make one last desperate bid to stop her husband Rhett (Clark Gable) from leaving her. When he says no, her plea to him about what she should do is greeted by cinema's first use of a swear word....
#6. DIE HARD - 1988
Perhaps the most bad-ass line in film and repeated throughout the Die Hard series, sees desperate cop John McClaine (Bruce Willis) using his walkie-talkie to communicate with vicious terrorist Hans Gruber (Alan Rickman). After an exchange of words, Gruber questions whether McClaine can stop him and his henchman from performing their heist, McClaine replies....
#5. BACK TO THE FUTURE - 1985
Doc. Emmet Brown (Christopher Lloyd) is a man of his word, and when we come to the final scene of the sci-fi classic BACK TO THE FUTURE, Doc reveals to his friend Marty about returning to the future for the sake of his kids and their safety. As the DeLorean reverses and prepares to drive towards 88 miles per hour, Marty questions whether there is enough room for the car to make, to which the coolest film line of the list is spoken and one of the coolest film moments happen....
#4. AIRPLANE! - 1980
The only exchanged quote which makes the list occurs when frantic pilot Ted Striker (Robert Hays) discovers that the disaster-stricken plane has lost both pilots and is questioned by Dr Rumack (Leslie Nielsen) about whether he can fly it, to which a humorous mispronunciation happens in the conversation....
3. STAR WARS: THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK - 1980
One of THE greatest twists in film history is revealed at the end of the vicious and action-packed showdown between Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader, in which Vader chops off Luke's hand leaving the young Jedi to cling onto a hanging post. Once Vader tries to persuade Luke to join the dark side, Luke refuses and once he mentions about what happens to his father, Vader responds....
#2. THE GODFATHER - 1972
A cool and calm line which doesn't have any malice or humour to it, but it's simply a line that has become iconic with its audiences when it comes to any potential business deal as mafia boss Vito Corleone (Marlon Brando) reasons with Johnny Fontaine about getting him a role in an upcoming movie. Vito gives his help with the honest statement....
#1. SCARFACE - 1983
A cult classic line which has lasted well all these years in one of the immense films on my filmography list. In the thrilling climax, Cuban gangster Tony Montana (Al Pacino) finds himself surrounded by various assassins planning to kill him and knowing that there may be no chance of escape, he packs some guns and prepares to unleash hell. As the men wait outside his office, Montana bellows my favourite ever film quote with such menace....
